Two of my siblings (Kerry & Tom), and I (who are all members of Everything Fitz) are VERY excited to have the opportunity to return to Smithers BC!  This time we will be 'out west' not to perform, but to be step dance instructors at the Smithers Fiddle Camp!  This is our first time at this camp and we are looking forward to seeing all the wonderful Smithers folks again!  Please contact me if you would like more information about this camp (there is also lots of info on the poster below).
Date: August 26-29, 2014
Other instructors include Gordon Stobbe, Anne Lindsay, and James Stephens.

Do you still put on these camps? Do you teach fiddle privately or at the camp? Can I have more details on the whole thing? Thanks.

Hi Jody! If you would like to contact Julie via her Contact Page, she would be glad to forward on the camp organizer’s info. They would be able to answer all of your questions about the Smither’s Fiddle Camp. Julie teaches private lessons in the Peterborough and Bancroft areas, as well as via Skype. She also travels and teaches at various music camps and workshops. The next workshop currently on Julie’s schedule is on May 30, 2015 in St. Catherine’s ON:

I am from the Shuswap and would love to learn how to stepdance, so I was very excited to see it included in this workshop. My question is: if I don’t play the fiddle and won’t be taking any fiddle classes, can I still attend the stepdance portion? or are the stepdance classes offered as more of a supplemental component to the fiddle portion of the workshop? I would love to have some more info regarding the schedule and content of the stepdance portion of this workshop.

    Thank you!
